(Early Ming dynasty, approximately: 1380-1430 A.D.)
Rare blue and white porcelain vase beautifully painted with dark blue tones.in the center of the vase paintings of horses in fields, displayed in four variations,enclosed by crescent shaped thick frame, surrounded by clouds. Underneath and above the center peony blossom alternately rendered full-faced and in profile, enclosed within a double line border. Decoration of flowers surrounding the lower part, the vase handles are shaped as scaled fish.
The vase feature the Chinese Han people innovative design for that period
The vase skin has crackles and iron oxide. There is kiln firing fault at the lower part of the vase like the majority of the Ming dynasty early pieces.
